I am a mixed media artist, in love with story telling.
When I find something I want to share with my audience, I let the medium choose itself. The whimsical nature of my subject matter, whether it is a folkloric tale or a character I've created, often draws me to wool.
I love experimenting, and needle felting and wet felting allow me to explore any direction. I can work in 2D or create 3D sculptures, from tiny pieces to room-filling installations, or even bring them to life through animation. My wool projects are a form of escapism and freedom, engaging with fiction and allowing us to play make-believe.
I also enjoy painting, a more vulnerable form of expression for me. My paintings capture raw emotions and are less polished, often revealing what it is I wish to escape from.
